This design is protected by a German Design patent -Gebrauchsmuster- DE9002669, applied for on March 7 1990, and published July 19 1990. Afterwards an Austrian patent was applied for as well on December 3 1992. This patent with number AT398131 was granted September 26 1994. The patent figure shows apart from the values 20 and 50, also 100 grams as a measuring value. This design looks like a combination of the Linex and the Epistola. The letter scale has an advertising text for the Deutsche Post AG. Below some more pictures of this letter scale.
