This pendulum scale of Jakob Maul has a base made of simple bent steel strip. This type of frame is more reliable than the more beautiful cast iron versions. The logo JM -of Jakob Maul- is stamped at the scaffold of this scale. The range of this letter scale is 500 grams. A stripe is given per five grams. A limited number of figures is given. The pendulum of a large diameter has a handsome brass cover. At the back of the mechanism is an extra little pendulum disc. "NIET VOOR HANDELSDOELEINDEN" is the text at a bar of the mechanism.
